I have had some serious trouble with this as well. I do end up getting them unstuck, but there is a lot of cursing involved. I've even hurt myself doing it :p I built my room to keep FF warm in the barn! It worked very well last night :D Still have to take that video! I think I may get a couple more systems going eventually. We do go through 1.5 buckets and not just one like I said previously. Snow today. Everyone is upset about it.
Were they carrying signs like this?
No but they screamed a little.

I went down to take a video at the barn for you guys of how the bucket system works, but my memory card was up at the house. Tomorrow ;)

Here are some pictures of how I created the bucket system. Easy, I know.. Just in case SOMEONE is interested :)

1000

Need two buckets the same size, and a drill.. Drill holes into the bottom..

1000

Like so...

1000

and up the sides...

like so.
Note that the geese have chewed the cord on this drill.. Need to tape that up.. Darn geese..

You can make more holes if you want, but I find this is just enough for me. More holes on the bottom than on the sides.

So let me see if I understand you....you need a holy bucket to make the ff? lol. Can you tell me again what lens you have????I'm a dufas and Dh was seriously asking me what I wanted for Chritsmas. I've been telling him a beehive with a copper top but he doesnt seem to want bees in the garage......And I'm pretty sure he gets that if he gives me foot cream and pumice for a fourth year it will be ugly.-L

If I could get my top bucket out of my bottom bucket I'd drill more holes, I may have to use dynamite. No kidding they are stuck tight even with my dh trying to help we could not get them apart. Any suggestions?
I had that same issue too... shoving a regular blade screw driver down each side between the 2 buckets and breaking the vacuum seal before lifting out the FF bucket helps. Some days even with the screw driver trick they are still hard to pull apart tho. Gravity working against us again, ugh

Yes you need a holy bucket. :)

My base is a Canon Rebel T3i Digital SLR and my lens is a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens. Wow that was a mouthful!

It's quite pricy... But he owes you after all those foot creams...
