We see or hear about such a small part of the brutality that goes on everyday and that little bit we know about hurts our heart. I can't even imagine the pain of heart the Creator gets when he looks upon this earth.

At least you get a warning....The Bat and my boys will SBD right next to you in the store aisle and send you running with your shopping cart to get out of the cloud of fumes, all the while praying that no one else in that aisle thought it was you. They then look at you like a deer in the headlights and say, quite innocently, "What? I don't smell anything!" and laugh as you flee in the other direction.
As you pass that aisle later to go to the register, you can see that it is still a deserted and barren wasteland with the labels peeling off the jars and littering the floor, and black skid marks from all the shopping carts that had burned rubber to get away from the toxic area. You'll remember the aisle because on either end will be orange cones with a biohazard logo on them....
Really, words cannot describe the carnage left in the wake of one of these bombs.
I was really trying not to reply to anything until I made it through this monster thread only on page 348 but I could not let this pass. It reminds me of my dad and my brother, I try to avoid going shopping with them because if someone frustrates them or cuts them off I know they will do what they call crop dusting. Get a little ahead of the old lady that cut them off or the mom pushing her kids down the isles in a frenzied hurry and just let go and then nonchalantly just wander off.

Yep very sad. But it really doesn't seem to bother them, well except when a mob of a couple thousand riots and marches on foot into a village with clubs and molotov cocktails and burns down a several dozen houses and a few churches and beat some people - just because they can and get by with it. The last time that happened (just a few months ago) the police were kind enough ('sarcasm') to come to the village ahead of time and tell them to leave because it was going to happen. When that happens their 8 foot walls and steel gates don't do them a whole lot of good. But with all their trials and tribulations, they don't complain anywhere near as much as most of us do about our lives. Knowing those folks has helped me put my life in perspective! What's that got to do with chickens!?!That is sad.
Let's see, back last fall my friend bought some day old chicks there in Pk. We were trying to get a plan together to raise some chickens and have eggs to feed the family and others who have a difficult time having enough to eat, not to mention nutritious food. They pretty much exist on bread and vegetables and only get to eat meat a couple times a month if they're lucky. I know eggs would help so much! Anyhow, he bought some chicks and sent me a picture of them and it took me a little bit to figure out what they actually were! lol Over there the farmers are dying the chicks to sell to kids. My friend bought 30 chicks but they all died. I hope one day soon we can get "some chicken business" going over there!
Could be the dyeing process killed them? That's pretty sad too. I've heard it's a big thing to dye pets nowadays but it just doesn't get into my braincase as to why. It's a weird thing...

I'm not sure if it was the dying or something else. They sure don't have all the gadgets that we can so easily get here to raise/keep chickens. He didn't have a heat lap over them. They were just sat by a gas stove. And I'm not real sure what he was feeding them. I wish postage wasn't so high, I would send him some "equipment". And there's the problem of him receiving what I send. LOL I sent one package that cost a pretty penny and time went on and on and he didn't get it. We figured a postal worker really liked it so... lol Then A YEAR LATER he got a call from the post office to come pick it up. AFTER weeks of negotiating with the postal worker and pretty much paying for it again in fees and bribes he got it - slightly damaged but he got it! LOL

I think the next time we need to go with pol pullets or laying hens. Hopefully he will get a broody hen that will raise some chicks for him.
Wow! How miserable is that? Is he a missionary? Is that why he is living there?

No he is Pakistani. Has had to put up with that sort of thing is whole life, can't say to heck with it and come home. lol

Hey Bee or anybody else, how do you boil fresh eggs and get them to peel right?
