Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

I was just teasing!
OK....Here's the new situation I stopped using FF for my trial pullets because despite the fact that they look pretty good, (they also have access to my usual concoction), they are laying smaller eggs than the ones that are  not getting FF.

Therefore, there will be no reason for me to return to this thread.  I'm sure I'll see a few of you on other threads and I really enjoyed getting to know those of you who haven't been determined to be right at any cost...PM me some time.

Over and out!!! :frow

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...:idunno  and I didn't say she is...I used the conditional sense, I believe but she certainly is very opinionated. :plbb

Hey... that was a play on words- you were talking about "sexist" and I was talking about "sexy-ist! LOL Yeah she is opinionated, but aren't a lot of us? -me included close to the top of that list! LOL

:gig "oddly enough I agree..." Lmao!

HAA! Love it! And IF I happen to be wrong my man better not act like he noticed! hahahahaha

Aw!Sorry to see you go, Hellbinder! It was nice to have another serious rabbit person in the thread! Maybe you will be back if you ever decide you need some healthy meat on your table ans go raise some meat birds!

TW, it has been pouring here too. Last night the winds were crazy and woke me up a bunch. Didn't help that I am alone in the house this weekend. My SO is off in NY visiting his familly until the 24th... Which left me with making sure nothing tried to blow away overnight. (Which nothing did.) I ended up nudging through a yard that was litterally a bog (one or two feet of mud under several inches os standing water) to feed the chooks. Their area, covered in nice absorbant and easilly drained woodchips, is the dryest spot in my lawn right now!

I am trying to think of a way to seperate out a few of the birds to try a hay-heavy fermented diet with them. One group would be on fermented layena. The other would get fermented scratch along with alfalfa and chopped hay and fermented veggie scraps. Both sides will get equal parts of any meats or fats I put out there. I just gotta find a way to segregate then...!
