Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

I know the feeling. I had a really nice CR roo about 10 years ago and no way would he stop attacking me. Even after I clubbed and kicked the darn thing he would still try and get at me. He went to the killing cone and dressed out nicely. I've read on another forum that you. Can sometimes break them of bad behaviour if they try and attack you, grab a ahold of him and pin him to the ground for a few mins by holding him down... Some say this will stop the behaviour, I have never tried it but it may be worth a shot.

WBF, the other day there was mud... deep mud (LOL). I started to catch him and put my foot on his head in the mud to see how he liked that! LOL

Good advice.

I'm working on a thing that may help folks avoid having to use heat lamps at all for chicks....if it looks good I'll post some pics but if merely functional, I might not.

Making it for my BFF who's getting some chicks soon.

I am still working on my pop can heater. I got the plastic sheet for it and the 2x4s but now I need the aluminum tape and something for insulation. I am thinking bubble wrap tbh. I have it, unlike insulation foam. I think it may actually work for the watered!

I can't recommend this fermented feed enough! The benefits are amazing for such a simple task. I mixed 3 buckets today in about 15 min. Now we wait and I have next weeks food read to go :)

My layers molted beautifully and started laying again! They LOVE sneaking the CX chicks feed here and there and I let them for the recent molt.
