Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

@ChocolateMouse... you are so right. It is about like the drug companies, hospitals, insurance, etc. Money talks! Like legalizing medical marijuana. I'm sure it is the drug companies fighting that so hard. They sure don't want people turning to something they can grow in their backyard to treat their medical needs instead of buying their drugs. Can't have that, even if it does work!

I saw a good movie a couple months ago about a guy that sold seeds for some big company. They weren't supposed to collect seeds from plants, clean them and sell them. He got caught doing that and it was a BIG DEAL. Good movie. I believe it was the "Field of Dreams" guy that played in it.

GMO is the stuff of nightmares - even here in the UK (for those that are awake that is) our Government is planning to agree to a new 'trial' despite objections from a lot of us.

At least here a lot of stuff is marked if it contains GMO ingredients - but I am sure not all. I only eat organic wherever possible - and feed my hens organic layers pellets and home sprouted greens.

Where I cannot buy organic, I only buy fresh produce from the UK (so no massive supermarkets for me). We are veggies so we have no worries about what meat animals may or may not be fed (apart from the animal's health point of view)

Just about to change over to fermenting wheat, oats and barley - all of which are grown in the UK (already checked with the supplier).

I feel so sorry for you guys - Monsanto (and your Government) have a LOT to answer for. If only the Gvmnt would agree to labeling then at least you could CHOOSE weather to eat it - or feed it to your animals.

Sounds crazy but sometimes I'd like to go live in south America or Africa.... Sometimes it feels like I would take civil war over modern society. :\ There's nowhere much else in the world where you can just OWN land and it's YOURS... And if you want a road, you don't pay the Great Government to build it, you just build a frickin' road... And you grow what you want keep the animals you want and let bygones be bygones... It's a crazy concept but it appeals very deeply to me.

If I could live anywhere else as far as climate and people it would be Jamaica. I still haven't got there YET but from all I have seen movie and picture-wise, it is so beautiful and laid back.

I have heard that in some places like Mexico that if the police or the government get a wild hair they can just come take your house, land, whatever and if they want to, just toss you in prison for however many years they please. Our government and police do some ignorant and underhanded stuff but it isn't quite that bad yet.

Well, Mexico is central America... And Mexico's the worst of both worlds! Never wanna live there! But heck, I sure do love the idea of living in the bush in like Venezuala or something....

People often tell me I'm the type of person they feel like they could dump in the jungle with a big knife and I could make it out alive. XD

Why couldn't we have met when I was living in Indiana??? We are pretty well secure. Let's hope if something ever did happen, we will get together. :)
