No, I think you done "real good" and I applaud you...no, I give you a standing ovation!...for reading these threads in their entirety!! That's dedication and a willingness to learn that I admire greatly...so few have it.

So much has changed since the very beginning and we all have learned so much, changed how we feed, how often we feed, how much we feed, etc. down through the years of this learning curve that one really needs to read past the first pages of the thread to see how this method has evolved.

For the newbies, the best FAQs guide I can offer was put together by one of our fine FF friends...I haven't read it all completely but skimmed it and it seems to cover just about every little thing....shout out to our dear, hard-working TikkTok!!!

I would bookmark this link because you'll be referring to it often, most likely, and also passing it along to others. I've posted this very link several times in the past few days.

whoop whoop tikktok!!! Good job!

I hope this question is not too stupid but my partner told me to ask, so we can blame him. Both of us drink massive quantities of perked coffee to help keep us awake over long shifts, plus we just love it!

Would the coffee grounds do any harm to the FF or the chickens? We always threw them on the compost pile to feed the red worms and the chickens and turkeys never seemed to have any coffee buzz going on.

Thanks

That's a new one and I'm just not sure....but you can try it and report back to us!

Who knows? Maybe feeding coffee grounds is a secret to increased laying, parasite cleansing, or better cardio health? It could happen.

I googled it and every one of the posts said "NO" to caffeine Feed it to the compost for worms.

OK...that's more for me and the worms. I do know the worms love the grounds, from my childhood days of raising night crawlers and red wigglers. So...the chickens can get them third hand...through the worms. Thanks LindaB220. I don't know why I didn't think of google.

You can also use fresh coffee grinds to grow your own mushrooms if you like them! (Due to the temperature of the water, you are essentially sterilizing the coffee grinds when you make coffee, so the fresh grinds are great for mushroom culture.)

Oh man, what a fantastic idea. Do you have any sites or info on this. Thanks
