Fertile eggs and eating them

Quote:
Do commercial eggs ever have these spots? How do they handle it? My Wife was told to discard eggs that had blood spots while using farm eggs, probably by someone who didn't know any better.

Commercial eggs have spots, but those eggs don't make it to the eating eggs supply (usually). They are used in the mixes of eggs for powdered eggs and other uses.

Commercial outlets candle for any spots visible - usually through white egg shells, so they are easy to spot - and those eggs are used for other purposes. They don't want complaints about icky thinks in their eggs.

I agree. The commercial outfits have such high power candling tables that can do dozens of eggs at one time.
