Fertilized egg or health problem?

I have a broody hen trying to hatch eggs. I don't want chicks right now tho so I've been taking away her eggs daily. This egg I think she sat on for about 2 days before I took it. (Note, she didn't lay this egg, it's another hens) I noticed a weird shadow on about 3 eggs when I candled them to make sure we didn't have any veins. So I cracked one open and saw this. Is this just what a fertilized egg looks like after being sat on for 2 days? Or does the hen who laid it have a health problem? The white spot was kinda bulging out from the rest of the yolk.

You're right it does. Well that's a relief. Next question, can I eat it?

I wouldn't but in some cultures embryos much more developed than that are considered delicacies so you can if you want.

I have a friend who's daughter-in-law is Chinese American, the daughter of Chinese immigrants. My friend once found a half grown chick in an egg and put it down the garbage disposal. When her DIL found out she was upset because she would have eaten it, raw like an oyster!
