Most of my peachicks are not this tame. I have been taken extra care with these. Dont trust the wild predators or dogs. Rare for me to handle peachicks every day, but have these 10 that I plan on keeping. Except if the charcoals are a hens, have two people to check with, if they dont want them, be glad to give away to BYC members. REMEMBER they will never lay eggs!!!

Anyway I just handle these everyday.

Thanks! That's what we've been doing! I have noticed that they aren't as exciteable as they were when we first got them. They still tend to scatter when I approach the cage but after I pick them up they calm down. I hope to get them to the point where they follow me around but that won't be for some time, I'm sure.

Deerman, do you also have cameo? I have cameo silver pied here and I dont see a difference between the peach color and the cameo color.

Agree about handling them every day.... I hatched a silver pied chick that only has a few spots of color... its going to be lovely..... i tend to handle it/ hand feed it more than the rest. This morning it flew across the room to get to me.

Only have one Cameo, she is a BS Silver Pied Cameo. The two color are different. Some of the other UPA breeders have post pics of the 2 next to each other on the UPA Forum. I can tell the different when I see them, plus the peach sell for alot more than the Cameo.

yes, I asked about the color difference on our upa forum before. I still dont see much of a difference... think I'll save my money and stilck with the cameos

Kev. thats a real good question, I have wonder the connection myself. The peach have come from both the purple and cameo lines.

The Peach color is lighter than the Cameo.

Cameo have been around for many more years, and very much cheaper than peach. Most people can tell the two apart when you see them.

I dont know, but the peach could be a delute of the others, or from the other two genes working together.

Peach do breed true, but I did get one peach out of a purple male.

I myself ask the same thing on the UPA Forum last year.

I only have the one cameo BS silver pied hen, never like the
cameo. I did raise some chicks from her mated to a blue spilt bs peach. Sold all chicks had peach bs from her.
