FFA hatching!! Quail are reproducing! WOOT!!!

They're all CHICKEN eggs! Just some really big EE eggs in there. I know we talked about duck eggs, but they arent laying right now!

Hope they have fun with them! Some of them are Pure Cuckoo Marans, some are not. Your guess is as good as mine! You have to wait til they grow up to know, and even then?? Cause I got the eggs mixed up!
My roosters and hens are pure but they run together, so the chicks are mixed or pures? No duck eggs though

There are Marans mixes in there, and Easter Eggers in there that could eventually, if they hatch into girls, become "olive eggers" and all kinds of neat mixes (Black Langshan Rooster, BW Polish Rooster, Black Copper Marans Rooster, Mille Fleur Frizzle Rooster or Blue Ameraucana Rooster).

White Eggs - Hen = Danish Brown Leghorn
Cream Eggs - Hen = ? Salmon Favorelle
Green Eggs - Hen = Easter Egger
Blue Eggs - Hen = Blue Ameraucana
Dark Brown Eggs - Hen = Black Copper Marans
Dark Brown Eggs - Hen = Cuckoo Marans
Dark Brown Eggs - Hen = Penedesenca
Bantam Eggs - Hen = Cochin/silkie (may be Frizzle)

So there are Matching roosters to matcing hens, you could get pures, but you are also going to get mixes!! good luck on the hatch!!

Oh I know, My husband looked up on the internet to see what buckeyes were and found the history you sent with the eggs. He was just as excited to see them hatch and was upset when 3 were cracked. It is ok though. Honestly we have only had so far 9 out of 356 were broken so that is not bad. They will still be put to good use though because we are taking the broken cracked ones in to open in a dish so the kids can see how fertile eggs look and how you can tell versus store bought eggs.

I was told you mark fragile on a box and the postal workers that don't give a care think that means throw them as hard as you can and be as rough as you can.

We just started laying this weekend. I can probably get 6 or more in the mail Tues (I think they are closed tomorrow), they still are consistently laying. If you still want MS eggs, I will send them off, it's up to you. We had one hen start on Wed, then Fri two laid, yesterday 3, today 4!!!
