That is hilarious! Gratz on the new kitteh! I hope, for your sake that she doesn't turn out like the last kitty that we adopted - a 90% pure evil core wrapped in 10% pure cute.

Oh, she is going to be a little monster....spoiled rotten. DBF informs me she likes to play bite. Well, she never play bites me. I watched him last night...he totally encourages her! She will become an evil little minx if I don't instruct him on the way to raise a well-mannered kitty. We are starting out with a little blank black and white slate so what she can and can't get away with now will hopefully stick.

She won't sit still long enough or pose in the right position to get the full exclamation mark profile, but you can see her perfectly black tail (like she borrowed it!) and her black spot.
I noticed yesterday (don't ask...she stuck it in my full view) that she has the perfect little white bullseye around her little poop-chute and a perfectly centered half inch white streak up the back of the base of her tail. The mini-photo negative of the exclamation mark.

She's adorable! Cute markings. I know what you mean about 90% evil and 10% cute. My last feral rescue kitten is like that. She's two now and occasionally the other three cats sign a petition to have her put in time out for a while. She comes up behind them, jumps on them and wrestles with them. She was a play-biter also.

OK, now the job is to get her spayed. I've been following this because it is exactly like the way we got out latest(2 yrs ago) kitten. Except I captured her and DW adopted her. BTW, have a friend who says you don't buy cats, they're gifts from the gods.

I had one w/the same markings only they were dark tabby rather than black. She was the craziest little thing! My daughter would lay on the floor in front of her and Ellie (the kitten) would sit up on her butt, put her front legs up and bop my daughter on both sides of her head w/her feet...think clapping but w/someone's head between your hands! She would steal a certain Barbie hat from my daughter's case, she'd sort thru everything w/her little paws until she found that one particular hat. When she died my daughter came out of her room w/the little hat and asked to bury it w/Ellie.
I hope Pixie brings you many sweet memories!

Pixie is doing great!
Yesterday she discovered eyeballs. She is just amazed! I think it's because she can see her reflection in them because she will get real close and touch her wet nose to my eyelid. Then, of course then I've closed my eye, she'll back up a bit and gently reach out a paw and ever so lightly touch my eyelid. 'where did the other kitten go?' It's so cute but I only let her do it once or twice in case she starts to get bold. She really is gentle and sweet.
I dewormed her yesterday and I will vaccinate her next week, with a booster at 12 weeks. She will get her rabies when she gets spayed in a few months. I could get her done now, even at 6 weeks, but she has been through so much that I'd like to wait a little while longer. Anesthesia at this young an age is more of risk so I'd feel better if she were larger and had full liver/kidney function. Plus, I'm sure she is anemic from all those fleas and ticks!!!
Oh, she WILL be spayed. 25 years of working in veterinary medicine and working with rescue groups....I am rabid about spay/neuter.

On Friday DBF drove all over to PetSmart, TSC and Walmart buying her toys, special kitten food (Blue Buffalo. My kitten was on Wellness but BB is as good IMO) and looking for the dewormer and vaccine. He looked at those huge cat trees but said "I could make her a much nicer one!"

She's got him wrapped around her little paw. Follows him like a puppy! He bought her, in addition to a pile of other things, a pink (PINK! DBF never buys anything PINK!) ball that flashes when it rolls. It's her favorite. That and the tinfoil ball we made to amuse her when we first found her. Her very first toy.

Miss. Pixie Consequence Jones has done well for herself.

Orpygal, that is the sweetest story!
Yes, I never have really gone looking for my cats, they have always been bestown upon me by the powers that be.
