filthy eggs

this time of year for us is really hard on the eggs - mud, mud, mud. I just save them in a separate carton and them wash them before I use them. You aren't going to win again chickens, so why pull your hair out?

I live in North Central Florida and have sand. It works great...

Make them wear gumboots... and take them off at the door before they come inside to lay.

(That's galoshes or wellingtons for those not on my side of the globe LOL)

Sand is now in the chicken run. I'll try to post a picture. My son thinks it will be helpful!
