i googled ... bunnies how to care for them... it said kitten formula , add 2-3 drop of vitamins to 1 cup of made formula. make warm to the touch.. feed every 2-3 hours 7 am to 11 pm..you can use and eyedropper or syringe to feed with.. they need stimulation for eleminating waste like a kitten.. we used a damp cotton ball and rubbed the area till the went potty.. gl

Thanks so much..all of you. I put them back nearest to where we found them. We put them in a bucket on it's side so momma can get to the but the hawks don't see them. Lots of predators around here. Also covered the opening a bit. I'll check them in the morning.
You guys are the best

You did the right thing putting them back. Mother rabbits spend very little time in the nest. She will probably move them tonight because the nest was disturbed but that sounds like a good thing. I used to do wildlife rehab and the baby bunnies were almost impossible.

Just checked when I went to close the coop. One crawled out of the bucket and died. The other is stll alive and in the blanket in the bucket. Don't know if she is going to make it. I'll check in the morning. Man, mother nature is tough sometimes.
No, I didn't take pic's. I was a bit freaked out and just wanted to get them back before momma came looking for them. Right now I'm praying there is nothing to take a picture of in the morning

when my wife and i were digging up hostas we dug up a nest with six babies. we got the same help as in the article. they still died one after the other. there is a chemical ballance in the food the mother eats and thats what the babies need. so it is very difficult to keep them alive

My DH brought me 3 little babies about the size of a juvinile mouse from a const. site he was working on years ago.

I put rabbit food in a shallow dish and put milk on it to make it soft put them in a shoe box. One day the shoe box was upside down

thought my cat ate them for sure. Found all 3 alive. They all grew up. At the time I raised rabbits for meat. Put them in an empty cage.

My Dad told me later it was illeagle to keep them. They were cottontails. I gave them to a friend when I got out of the rabbit businss.
