Welcome to the duck world! Just be warned duck math is just as serious as chicken math.. I only started out with 6 but here I am with 43 ducks and more on the way..

Aw they are so cute!. I agree with the post above me lol, started with 4 ducklings LAST year I now have 21 full grown ducks and 7 more ducklings in the brooder and 18 more ducklings due to be delivered in June... its far addicting

I imagine I would be banished to the barn with the ducks if I went from 4 to 20-40 in a year!

After about 4 years of research and waiting for the right timing, I finally received a bundle of joy in the mail this week! All Silver Appleyard ducklings from Metzer Farms. It's been a joy getting to bond with them this week!

You sound like me!!!! I researched for like a year before I got my ducks. I hope your cuties are doing good!!! Also You are very good at thinking.....my ducks should have been outside 3-4 weeks ago. Not planning well will give you a bump in the road. I love having them in the garage tho. Whenever I go out they just love to quack at me. Seeing that they are quacking you probably get the vibe they should be outside!!! Best of luck!!!

But maybe double the flock, right?? My husband is pretty ready to go from 3 to 5 within a year. I’m sure if we went from 3 to 25 I’d be in some trouble!
