Finally an external pip

thanks beth. Nothing new in the last few min. But it almost sounds like the 2 pipped eggs are talking back and forth. So i'm hoping tonight I will have 2 healthy happy peepers.

This is what I woke up to this morning. This is my 2nd one that pipped and the 1st to pip seems to be following suit but isn't as far along. I'm so excited.

OMG in the #6 egg just pipped and stuck out a bill. I didn't think that one would make it because when I candled I didn't see an air cell... So we may have 3 (or more) I'm so excited. My oldest just got on the bus and can't wait to get to school to tell her teacher she saw it being born. And my younger girl goes to PM kindergarten and can't wait because she saw too. I'm soo happy the were able to watch. My youngest 3 y/o didn't but he doesn't really understand either.

For me with my boys that is what made it extra special was being able to watch the miracle of it all with my kids and their reactions. There is that special bond between your children, and also ducklings now for the imprinting once they dry off. That is the best, they will regonize your voices and look at you all as their "Momma Duck." LOL my sister now calls me "Mother Duck" when she calls me. They are absolutely Precious!! That is why I named my 1st hatched from 2wks ago "Precious". I know I have 3 females for sure, so I have Precious, Pumkin, and I think my next female will be Autumn since they were born in the Autumn Season, I'm still having a bit of a difficult time sexing them, there is one that my youngest named the day it hatched, was the day we had severe weather and he named him/her "Stormy". So we have a bit of a theme going on. My oldest son named his duck from 2wks ago Poblo, and the other female from this newest batch that looks almost like his make "Banditita" instead of Bandit because it has a really cool mast. I'll post pictures. Plus I have to watch Metzer Farms Sexing Video to re-educate myself on sexing ducklings, here you go if you want to view it and see if you can determine the sex of your ducklings. http://www.metzerfarms.com/WaterfowlVideos.cfm?CustID=163096 Just pressing on "Sexing day old ducklings". I'm am so PROUD of you and so very happy and excited!! You didn't give up hope!! It was a long, agonizing wait, but "Good things come to those who wait." And now seeing this, wasn 't it worth it! Very happy for you and your family.

OK so 2 are out and I don't think the 3rd will make it. Which is funny because it was the 1st to pip. The egg is cracked open and it has some gross goo coming out. But its peeping up a storm. I'm not sure what to do, if anything.

Its not the best pick but the humidity is 90% since the 2 hatched so the window is pretty foggy. Its the egg in the center, you can see goo coming out of the egg
