Duck love is recognizable in any language
After 5 months of joining BYC, today, I noticed I HAD NEVER DONE A NEW MEMBER INTRO!?! What in the world was wrong with me!?! I rushed as soon as I joined BYC because of a Bumblefoot problem my ducks had, (you guys may have remembered that!) and my drake Quakers was chasing me like crazy (you guys may have remembered that!). So here are the questions and answers, for you guys to know me better!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm not new to chickens. I got chickens when I was a little girl, 6, actually.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 45 chickens, but the number's constantly going up and down because I sell some, incubate some, keep some, sell some, incubate some. I have 39 egg-hens (What did I just call them?!?) that I keep no matter what.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have Barred Rock/Plymouth Rock chickens.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I have a little business of eggs and chicken/chick selling, and for the love of birds, I just HAD to get chickens!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My other hobbies are feather glittering (where you take any feather, put glue on the tip, and make glitter out of it!), sewing, chatting at BYC all the time(So true!), making wood ducks, making little fences, and walking my lovely dogs.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Well, my other pets are a lot of them. One basset hound (puppy) named Dixie, one black lab (Just got her!) named Sauce, one Labradoodle (She's a sweetheart!) named Scruffy, one Newfoundland (Just got her!) named Bailey, and finally, one Bloodhound named Droopy. Then I have 2 ducks, Quakers and Donald, 3 horses, Willow, Lightning, and Molly, three fish, Bambi, Venus, and Albert, two cats, Bee and Banjo, two male goats, Billy and Ramsey, two dairy cows, Bessie and Buttercup, and one Lizard named Sonny! My occupation is Horse Breeding, but I think I am going to change to a Fowl Specialist!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've known about BYC for 3 years, but never joined it until, five months ago, November 26, 2018 (BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!) I searched up "How to stop a male Pekin duck from biting me" and pow! BYC showed up! I finally joined this AMAZINGLY AWESOME community when my male duck Quakers start to hurt me and when Donald my female started to get bumblefoot.
