Finally got an egg from one of my EE pullets

EE can lay blue, green, white, brown, cream.
That looks like an 'olive' egg, it's gorgeous!
Where did you get your EE's?

We got them from Tractor Supply. The sign said they should lay blue eggs which is why I referenced blue in my original post.....I've learned from everyone here not to trust TS fully LOL

It's gorgeous! I have 3 EE pullets, 12 weeks old. Can't wait 'til they start laying.

(Can't wait 'til someone starts laying! I have 9 pullets and 2 hens, and one of those hens is molting. Getting like 2-3 eggs/week from that one hen. LOL)

I am pretty sure you have an olive egger there. Maybe a cross of one. Most EE's lay bring blue or green eggs, the darkness/richness of the color is not indicative of an EE. You may have got a lucky draw!

Well, it's not TSC's fault, it's the hatcheries..TSC just repeats what they are told by the hatchery.
A-ny-way.
Most the hatchery EE's I've gotten laid blue/green.
But this bird is probably an OE(different cross than an EE).

What does OE stand for? Curious :)

We also got another yesterday! This ones a little lighter, I’m not sure if it’s from the same bird or if our other is starting to lay also!

Here’s a shot of our two green eggs. Where’s the ham?
