Finally this past Wednesday I got an egg....our last egg was November 28th, so I am really happy! My seven hens, 8 months old, stopped laying like overnight in November. According to the experts on this forum, some were broody, some molting, and the weather change didn't help.
Well thanks to a few tips I got from all of you, we are back in business, well at least we are getting an egg every other day. I moved their coop to a sunnny location, eliminated any shade I could from their yard, and asked them REALLY nice to give me some eggs. After over two months with no eggs, I am thrilled to get just one....today was the fourth egg. They are nice size, 55 - 60 grams each, brown and beautiful!
Happy!
