My son is a Marine deployed to Iraq for the 2nd time. Not hearing from him is the absolute hardest, I live by the motto "no news is good news" I practically chant it at times it seems. My son lost a good friend over there the 12th , they deployed together both times. I went to the funeral this week on my son's behalf, I think he would have wanted me to. It was so very, very sad. I have 27 baby hens (2 weeks old) and a large adopted turkey, 5 older hens(18 weeks) and a tiny frizzel roo, that are keeping me busy right now and that helps so much, last deployment I knocked out the dining room wall and remolded and faux painted the living room, this time DH said "you are out of walls". So chicks will work, they are so much fun. All of you with deployed sons, daughters, husbands or wives know that they are all in my prayers. It seems it is a big boat with an awful lot of us in it.
God Bless
Kim
