Finally, I am doing the Happy Dance, Fertile Black Silkie eggs

What a year. I lost my best black show birds to an Owl last Nov. I only had 9 eggs saved and hatched 8 All cockerels except for one. I kept 2 cockerels but in the meantime I bought another black Cock from a breeder and he was gorgeous but I never got a fertile egg. I tried to watch him and figure out what was going on and I figured out he couldn't see. I cut the feathers all back and it was worse than I suspected. He was blind. I culled him and have been waiting a whole year for fertile eggs. I have done test hatch three or four different times and finally. I set about 9 black silkie eggs and on day 6 I have swimmers in everyone. Whoooo Hooo. 15 days and I will have me some black silkie chicks.\\Just had to share
