Finally my first Egg!

I feed them up. Brand chicken feed I also give them scratch, I have a black star, 1 Rhode Island red comma and two Easter Eggers

My 5 girls are over 20 weeks and not laying yet. I have read multible times they start around 6 to 8 months of age. I have two Wellsummers and three Rhode Island Reds. The Wellsummers are just starting to have waddles and combs turn red...which Ive been told is a sign of coming to egg laying age. Their coop is almost finished so Im actually hoping they hold out till they have nest boxes. They have some hay they "nest" in now. :)

If there combs are getting nice and red, they are getting ready. Mine also squatted so I knew she was getting close. I would not be surprised if the others laid soon

My girl laid her first egg today at exactly 16 week. At least 1 other is starting to do the "squat" so I'm hoping it won't be far behind!

Alright!!! My eggs are kinda small, but I am sure they will get bigger with some time.
