Not sure about the category, but I am so eggcited about my first Olive Eggs that I just have to brag.

These two olive eggs, in the middle, are my very first from a little experiment w/Wheaton Marans and Wheaton Americauna crosses. The gals are just beautiful and so are their eggs - olive!

Here ya go...the eggs and the gals who are creating them - Marsha, Mona and Ruth. (Actually don't know which one is still hold'n out.)

I and a few others have always been curious of this combo, as the Wheaten in Ameraucanas is pretty different from the Wheaten in Marans..

You sure that's what the parents are though? The bottom one is pretty red, almost like it has EE in it. Still, very pretty, and I love how you have an Ameraucana type Wheaten, a poor-Marans type wheaten, then a, umm, red, I would almost say columbian.

Thanks for the compliments. The girls are very sweet, slow to lay eggs (~6mos) and not flighty. And yup - sure on the mix because they're from my girlfriends hen/roo and she's got a very mini flock.
