Finally Started My Big Coop!!

Its coming together, I'm about to start a new coop and run project too. I'm still in the design phase but I am already stockpiling some materials for the build. I figure I'll start in a couple of weeks. Before you know it, you will have some happy chickens. What breed of chickens are you getting/have? I wish I had more space like your area. Good Luck

I've been planning this coop for a few years now. Trying to figure out all the things I want it to have and how I want it set up. I'm going for some heavy layers. Probably going to go with sex links, and easter eggers mostly. I sell a lot of egg's. I have more demand for eggs than my hens can keep up with so I am expanding. I will probably throw a couple leghorns in there as well. Unfortunately most people see white eggs and in their minds they aren't fresh eggs. So those eggs will probably be for myself.

The front and back walls were built in two pieces and then screwed together.

Huge, I'll have to post a pic of mine later but I let them out to roam hence we no longer have a nice pretty green back yard. Nothing but dirt and leaves. Lesson learned the hard way.

How big is your backyard, and how many chickens do you have? The amount you feed them could also play into how much they will destroy a yard.
