FINALLY, they are out of the brooder......here we go (pics)

I have mine in the coop b/c when they wake up they are hungry and thirsty. During the day I leave the coop open and they roam my yard eating bugs and stuff and off and on they return to the coop to eat. I leave water all aroung the yard it is so hot. I love your coop and run. Congrats on getting them out to their new home.

I have been wrestling with the same question. My biggest reason for wanting at least the waterer inside the coop is that, come winter, that is where I intend to put the lightbulb-&-flowerpot type heater to keep the water from freezing. Also, at least for the summer, I am not usually up to let them out before the sun comes up.

i have water in both and food in the run. I put water in the coop, because sometimes they get locked in cause the door blows shut and i cant let them out till im out of school, so i want them to have water.

Thank you for the compliments, THE COOP/RUN WAS A LOT MORE WORK THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.....( I literally thought it would take 2 days to build....it took 2 months)

I put the food and water in the coop last night then moved it to the run (suspended from under the coop). The water was FULL of shavings....for those of you that put water/food in both the coop and run do you suspend it from the ceiling in the coop?

Yes, when I put the water in the coop on the hot days I have a corner in the coop that is just big enough for the waterer to fit. I have it suspended from the ceiling to keep all the shavings/straw out of it. It works very well for us.

I keep my food in the coop to keep it dry and the water is in the run, I also free range so I have water pan in the yard in different areas. there are some pictures of my coop on my blog if you would like to see it. The food is up all the floor hanging by a rope. The water is up to on the side of the run, you should be able to see it in some of the pictures.

I keep food in the coop. I also keep a small size waterer in the corner for them because it is so hot here. They have a large waterer outside along with two pans of water that they stand in to help them cool down. Nice coop!

I've noticed that seems to be true of a lot of things
