Finally they've bred

I’m very annoyed as they have abandoned the egg and it is stone cold
Remember this post? Even though life is not perfect it is still good. You loft will continue to suffer losses that is part of the hobby. Hopefully the gains will out number the losses.

:jumpyhow's it doing?
I’m not sure haven’t seen it yet, I’ll check when it gets when I go feed and let out everything on how it’s doing. I’m really questioning what colour it’s going to be, the mum is a red and the dad is a red grizzle so it may be a blue grizzle or something.

Here’s some more photos I took today:

The fantail things

Regarding breeding at the moment I have 5 pairs of Fantails on eggs and 2 pairs of rollers. One of the roller pairs I had put some other pigeons eggs under, as it’s son and mother and I’d rather prevent inbreeding. The eggs they are on are from the loft section that I was keeping the birds that I was selling, so chance is I could hatch either Fantails, Serbian highflyers or both. I just hope they don’t die as I’ve lost most squabs this year unexpectedly. I’ll keep this updated.
