I read on another thread that the combs of pullets getting ready to lay turn really red. Is that true? I noticed that all 4 of my laying age pullets' combs and wattles are really red lately.

No eggs today though.
I'll keep looking and giving those pep talks.

I just took my first dozen of pullet eggs over to my grandson. He is 6, and feels so special because he gets the "kids size eggs" I also give them the ones from the bantys. He told the kids on his T Ball team... " this is my grandma....she has hens that lay kid size eggs, just for me" LOL Out of the mouth of babes!
