We can now have backyard chickens. Our village board just changed the ordinances to allow backyard chickens. It has taken 10 years, such a relief to be able to be just one more step towards self sustainability. Now on to the planning so we will be up and running in the spring. I am so glad I can now participate in this website I have been reading and following it for so long. I now feel like I belong.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock when they arrive, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
