Chirping
Ok, it only took two days but the new chicks are here. Only ordered 3 Columbian Wyandotte and was worried sick they wouldn't make the trip from Cackle in Missouri ( I'm in South Texas). I ordered them three weeks ago and wouldn't you know it a cold front came in the day they shipped only adding to my stress. All are doing great it seems, eating and drinking and seem to be very lively. Big props to Cackle for the packaging to make sure they arrived safe. The only "problem" I had was the post office. Went there the day I ordered them to give them a heads up and also the day they shipped to leave my name and number. I talked to the same gentleman both times and he told me he usually gets there around 3am, I told him to call me as soon as they get there no matter the time. Well this morning I wake up several times expecting a phone call so I checked my email for tracking info at 6:30am and it says they have arrived at 4:54am. I jumped out of bed and called the PO and luckily they answered and the lady says oh yeah they're here. Thank God my tracking info was accurate, no telling how long they would've waited to call me. Anyways, I'm just thankful they're here and doing good cause I've read all the horror stories. This was my first time ordering chicks online and I will definitely do it again but man is it stressful.
