So after moving the girls 1500 miles they have started laying again. It only took 3 months! but I have a girl who's burrying her egg in the fluffy stuff in the laying area of the coop. Is this normal behavior? also these eggs are MUCH smaller than the other eggs.

I thought the Cuckoo marans was supposed to lay a dark chocolate colored egg and my eggs aren't much darker than the brown store eggs. and the Salmon Feverole eggs are tiny and nearly white. Normal? yes? NO? I have no clue (these are my first chickens and I thought I was getting what I wanted but now I'm not so sure I did. I sure hope I wasn't duped because of my lack of knowledge.)

Grats your babies have moved to henhood.
Pullet eggs are always small at the start as their bodies are working the kinks out. Eventually the will pass this and lay normal size eggs.
