That's true. i hate having to buy eggs from the store because of how battery hens are kept. The poultry rescue near me is just entirely retired battery hens with the occasional roo here and there

that's true. very random but there was an H5N1 breakout near me recently I think the cull count is around 350,000 right now

They auction them off here. You have to buy like 100 lots. I think you can usually get them for about $1 or so each.
People buy them then flood craigslist etc trying to get like $8 each for them. Hate that time of year.
