Finding eggs

Hi all, thanks for reading. My two year old daughter is desperate for hens and ducks, and for someone her age she is extremely inquisitive. She understands they come from and egg and grow - and even that in some cases they’re eaten! So this will be my first hatch in 10 years (I used to keep dozens of hens when I was younger).
Anyone in the UK fancy sending through some hatching eggs? Can’t swap, but will pay!

Hi,,,, cant help you for 2 reasons. I'm too far, and my eggs are not fertile. (keep only hens)
My suggestion, if possible ,,,,, seek out a chicken keeper within your travel range. Shipped eggs do not hatch as successfully as eggs that you obtain and deliver yourself gently. VS Postal Shipping, and Rough handling.

I would agree, I've bought 2 lots of,eggs from eBay and last hatch I got five out of 12, 2 we had to cull, now there's a hard lesson for a 52 year old never mind a 2 year old. This time out of 12 I've got 4 that survived so far, hatching now and not sur wheat ahead of me but it's very stressful. I'd honestly , knowing what I know, for your little girl find a place to buy day old chicks. It's so much utter joy having the chicks but the incubating. Oh my! If you are going to do it don't be tempted by a cheap incubator, I wish I'd bought a Brinsea!
