finding fertile eggs before incubating

Is there any way to tell if a egg is fertile before incubating.

Are the hens in with a rooster? If so, how old are they? if old enough, then they are most likely fertile. just incubate 1 or 2 and candle in probably 3-4 days. you should see small veins with a little black blob.
