I’ve had chicken for years and goats. I shouldn’t just assume but I did. But like I most of the people in the area have chickens goats sheep alpacas and even pass a house with a peacock on my way into town. I want to think I’m good but my county is weird. Growing up it made the news for the amount of growth in small amount of time but 1/2 the county is still very rural. If we can’t get internet out here we should at least get to have chickens. Lol. Luckily we have cell service so I can backyard chickens!
I have Hughes net can't get cable been here over thirty years . Not likely to change anytime soon . Subdivisions are slowly coming this way . :(

You are awesome. I’ve been looking for hours. Now maybe I can find goat info. THANKS. Guess I’ll have to do some math. But I already guarantee I’m just a little bit over. (2 is close to 20 right?) I think I’ll be Ok ... I think there quite a few pushing the rules too out here. But I was curious because all of the county used to be no chickens at all under 5 acres but they changed it a few years ago but some districts adapted to it and some didn’t I also found it amusing that you couldn’t have chickens in less you had 5 acres but you could have 120 pound dog at an apartment and it was cool

And this is what the county defines as Agriculture
Agriculture means the use of a tract of land not less than five (5) acres for the raising of poultry and livestock; (2) pasturage; (3) dairying. Agricultural activities not including poultry and livestock includes the use of a tract of land not less than two (2) acres in size for agricultural purposes outdoors, within an agricultural structure or within a greenhouse/plant nursery, including, but not limited to: (a) the tilling of the soil; (b) the cultivation of crops or plants and trees of any kind; (c) horticulture; (d) floriculture; (e) agroforestry ; (f) aquaculture ; (g) forestry ; (h) hydroponic cultivation ; (i) agritourism ; (j) farm winery ; (k) farm brewery ; (l) farm cidery ; (m) farm distillery ; (n) farm juicery ; (o) farm cannery .

The family that owns the lot next to ours tried to get Hughes net and it will not connect at all at his house. Now he has to pay for something every month he cannot use. It won’t connect at all. It’s kind of like a black hole here sometimes. LOL. When we moved in seven years ago not having Internet didn’t bother me one bit and I’m still not too bothered by it except that so much stuff requires it now. And I found this

So is this saying at least 5 acres? And is it saying if you have less than 2 acres no gardening?! I mean I’m not worried about the garden part because I have more than 2 acres but wow

If you are zoned A3 the A is for agriculture not sure about the 3 not my state . A simple call to your local building codes department should answer all your questions . Are you within city limits ? Is there a HMO in your subdivision . If no HMO with restrictions and your not within a incorporated city limit. No Mayor ? city council ? your probably good .Codes administration or codes enforcement should be able to tell you .Good luck I see chickens in your future :fl
Very smart move to research that first!

Is it’s saying the same about chickens? I can’t tell if it says 2 or 5. So many rules in the county have changed as it grew. This the area with barely any growth ( thank god)
