Finding pine shavings in bulk

I might just "snoop" around tonight and see what kinda shavings they might have... I stopped at the local farm supply and apparently they get their bedding stuff from this woodworking place i mentioned...Might see if i can just take a few feed bags up there and see what happens. Heck they probably would be glad to see the police out there for its out in the STICKS, or i might scare them...Guess we will see!

Do be aware that shavings sold in plastic bags are usually kept outside in the rain, and they aren't water proof. Do your best to make sure the bags that get loaded into your car are dry inside.

When asking at furniture shops, ask if they can segregate planer and/or shaper shavings for you. They're much nicer than the dust from saws. Virtually all material will be kiln dried & the planer/shaper shavings are great!

Another option, does your local high school have a carpentry program? They probably have barrels of the stuff!
