    I want to tell you that you do great work and your coop and run are beautifull, BUT do yourself and your wife a favor and dont get chickens. The chicken wire you have up will certainly keep your chickens in but will do absolutely nothing to keep 90% of the normal predators out. PLEASE read the posts in the Predators section and then put hardware cloth up. You spent all that time, money and effort to be almost sure that you will have a disaster sometime in the future.

    The coop is beautiful. The outside roof so they can be out and dry in the rain is a good idea (I'm in the Pacific NW, too). The fence is not secure, though. I'd add more posts and a layer of fencing.
