    Hi everyone!
Ive been reading BYC for over two years, living through you all and yearning [IMG] for my own chooks, but the timming just hasnt been right - well now it is!! YAY!! YIPPEE! [IMG]:
I wanted to show you all what I bought last week to use as the coop. Its a cedar playhouse (thanks to BYC Ive learnt that cedar shaveings are toxic to chickens but haveing a coop made of cedar is fine as long as they dont eat it!) I got it on craigslist for $200 so I dont think I did too bad. Im going to have the run come off of the right hand side of the coop, have the doors and windows covered with hardware cloth. Im going to paint it, make the front of the playhouse inacessable to the chickens (to keep it poop free) and pretty it up, signs, hanging flower baskets etc. Im going to get 3, hopefully an EE, a Red Star and a Black Star, but as Im getting them from my local feed store, that may change!
Soooo happy Ill finally be a chicken keeper!! [IMG] I plan on having the coop and run ready for sometime in April, so be assured, Ill keep you up to date with it all!
(just found out, coz Im new I cant post pics yet, when I can I will)

As a totally "new egg" BYC has a new rule, no posting pics etc until the system no longer sees you as new, this is because the've had so many problems with spammers [IMG], so Ill have to wait a little longer to post pics of my playhouse. Its adorable though [IMG] , a front covered porch, a front and side door and two large windows with shutters. Thanks for the replys already!

[IMG] So glad you've made the leap from yearning & learning to DOING!

It won't take long for you to get the requisite number of posts to be able to post photos; one way is to go to the New Member forum and greet other newbies!

We're all anxious to see your photos. [IMG]
