fires and chickens

Was the smoke from the burn pile drifting towards where the chickens were?

Was he burning anything toxic such as plastic, foam, pressure treated wood, paint, chemicals just to name a few
or use gasoline or some other flammable liquid to start the fire?

If so. Yes. It’s very possible.
I am very sorry.
yes. It smelled toxic. an old pillow that the dog tore up this morning (foam stuffing and all) and who knows what else.

It is possible that if all the conditions were just so, the smoke could have caused her death
But is so why only her. I assume you have more than one.
I had a young rooster once that was scratching and digging and romancing the henns one minute then flopping around the yard like someone had removed his head. It was suppen heart attack, and not uncommon. I tend to think this was the cause of the sudden unexplained death if your bird.
Sorry for your loss!

IF there is a connection--and there may not be!-- it is probably not from a toxin or smoke inhalation. What you are describing, with a coop 50 feet away, general household trash out in the open, etc are not the conditions that cause death from a fire.
What MAYBE could have happened, is she smelled the smoke, stressed out, and gave herself a heart attack.
But, I would say it is a coincidence. I've had weirder ones. I had a two-headdd calf born on Halloween. Stuff happens.
Regardless, sorry you lost your favorite bird.
