UPDATE: day 7

Just candled after being out of town for a little while, and noticed 6 eggs were starting to show veins and embryos. The other eggs are younger so it will take them a bit longer. All eggs that don’t hatch will also be replaced.

Current with embryos: 1,2,4,5,9,10,11

11 has a lot of progress, and I assume it’s because we had a broody hen that left her nest and wouldn’t come back even the next day, so I removed the eggs and put them in the incubator.

For anybody that chose a bantam egg, I had already hatched 2, and this is what they’ll look like. I have not hatched any of the others yet.

You chose the perfect egg and name too! I’m seeing a lot of growth and movement in the egg!! Currently on day 7, so 14 days left. The bantams seem to look a lot like their mom, so she should look like the bird in the second photo!
