First Aid Kit

I know this is a medical question but turkey's are different than chickens and I would like the people who have these animals to give their input. I am trying to put together a sort of first aid kit for the turkeys as the vet that works on poultry is a bit far from us. Any suggestions on medications or certain tools that are good to keep on hand?

Yes it is, which is why I included the link about Baytril. My vet made me promise never to eat any eggs or the meat from a bird that I gave metronidazole and/or Baytril to. Which got me thinking, is metronidazole banned as well? According to this PDF it is: http://www.farad.org/publications/digests/071999ProhibitedDrugs.pdf

If you believe everything on the web, metronidazole (Flagyl, Fish-Zole) is banned by the FDA for use in food animals.

Wow thank you all for your input... I will be at the store this weekend. Already ordered Tylan but could only find 100. I am sure I will be leaning on everyone pretty soon as we get our first set of Turkey Poults next week.

Baytril is a great antibiotic and it's saved many of my animals, too.

I've purchased Baytril without a prescription many times... The link in my first post tells how to do it. Just do a search for "Baytril birds" and you'll find it there.

I won't use Baytri or metronidazole on any food producing animal, just my pets, which include turkeys and peafowl.
