ok i candled again holding the eggs like you did on your thread adozengirlz. I did not see ANY veining in the ones i did. I even did some white eggs and i didnt see any veining. I would almost be willing to bet that almost all the eggs the lady gave me are fertile. She has about 70 hens with lots of roosters that just mix with each other. The lady has hatched many batches already this year and has never had a problem with fertility.
I also candled an egg from the refridgerator that my hen laid today which is INfertile because i dont have a rooster and there was lots and lots of the porous things that yall mentioned. Could they have died on early on from something i did? As far as i could tell all the eggs have stayed at a constant temp between 99.5 and 102. But i heard that since my bator is still air sometimes it is better for it to be a little high.
Is there something that went wrong during the incubation you think? Did i get bad eggs ( i think this is highly unlikely )
Should i just calm down and candle again on day 7?
