First batch of Bantys are here!!!!Question pg 5!

Yesterday was day 12 and I candled them again. I lost one BLW. The others look wonderful! The Mille Fleur OEGBs and doing great! It bring the total to:

0/1 CW
3/5 for SLW
2/5 for BLW
0/5 Wheaton OEGBs
0/5 Spangled OEGBs
5/5 Mille Fluer OEGBs

The 10 eggs are doing good. The chicks would stop moving so I could get a picture for my poster!Ugh

This might make you feel better

I put 31 serama eggs in and only 5.....yes 5! are developing, 5 out of 31! sucks! but hey, least something looks promising!

Hope your others hatch for you and you get some chicks to cuddle!

Sorry about your hatch

I'm hoping my 2 month old chick will kind of bond with these little ones as they get older. Everyday I take her in there and she keeps peeping.. Like their talking but I can't hear anything.

I just got a humidity gauge and put it in there and it is reading 50% is that good or bad?The turner is out today and I had to reset the temp because without the turner in there the temp went down a few degrees. It is day 19 now and I'm not going to touch it unless I have to. Any advice would be great!

We face the kindred battle of stabilizing temps in the LG still air. Don't consider this an expert opinion...I've read a bunch and know what's work for me...I'd try to get at least 60% humidity.

I stack sponges in the top left of my LG and use a syringe to squirt water through the small air hole onto the sponge to increase the humidity. It works great.

Best of luck on your hatch!!
