Yay. So exciting! Hope you have good luck!
Thank you so much! I let them sit for 24 hours since they were driven to me, so I hope that helped!

You can probably wait. It’s up to you though. I bet they’re fine.Oh goodness, I knew I was forgetting something. I was so distracted with sanitizing like crazy that I forgot to candle before I set them! You think I should wait a few days now that they're set, or grab them now?
That's reassuring, thank you! It was only a 2 hour drive, so I'm pretty sure they weren't shaken up too badYou can probably wait. It’s up to you though. I bet they’re fine.
So exciting! Will these be your first call ducks? You’re going to love them! They have wonderful and unique personalities. Hope you have a good hatch! So excited for you! I've got Call Duck eggs in the incubator right now. The countdown says 6 days until hatch. I'm so nervous! Looking forward to following along on your journey
No problem! Yeah, I’d bet that they’re fine. That isn’t very far. That's reassuring, thank you! It was only a 2 hour drive, so I'm pretty sure they weren't shaken up too bad
Of course! I’ve heard that letting them sit is good. It gives the air cells time to settle. I’ve never hatched eggs other than my own flock so I can’t speak from experience. Were there any saddled air cells or did they look good?
Thank you! I'll be studying your thread next. Sounds like some wonderful information. Can't wait to learn from it. Thanks again for mentioning that. I'm sure it will provide a lot of useful informationNo problem! So exciting. I just finished my latest call duck hatch a couple of days ago. I ended up assisting all of them (over 10) which was stressful but well worth it in the end. There definitely is a lot to learn but once to get the hang of it, it’s not too bad. I usually wait till they’re internally pipped then rather early (because I didn’t want them to suffocate) I’d add the safety hole. I usually added it roughly 16-18 hours after internal pip. From there about 24 hours later I open the area over the air cell and slowly assist to the point that they can get out on their own. I’m not sure if it would be helpful but in my thread “preparing to set call and pekin duck eggs hatch day should be March 4 2021 if all goes well”, I got some great advice on assisting and posted some pictures of assisting progress of the call ducklings.
A few infertile, but no quitters! Every egg that had something in it is growing tons of strong veins! How are the eggs doing @alpinewelsummer ?
