First batch of eggs ever starting today!

I am so glad it worked! I felt horrible as it probably could have been prevented.

I just started some eggs on friday .I have 13 from my reds .this is my first time and in my homemade incubator.. i am very excited but for some reason very nervous...

I set some pure Araucanas on Fri. night. So, here I go again..I actually have some BO that are going into lock down come Tues. Not is a home made bator though! Have faith in yourself, bet ya do good!

What in the world is wrong with me? I love hatching?! I forgot to say, I also set some LF cochins the same night as the Araucanas..

LOL it is fun!!! I am not nearly as neurotic with this hatch as I was with my first batch..I actually sleep through the night without checking the temp

I've got 18 Cochins in there right now, hoping this goes better than last time and I don't have a shrinkwrapping problem. How many eggs total do you have incubating?

I just set some more Icelandic eggs, 27 total.

Well let's see, I have 13 LF cochins, 24 Araucanas that I set on the same day, last Fri..night actually..and, I woke up this morning, thought I better check my calender, and sure enough, my BO are supposed to be in lock down today..not Tues.! They are now..lol..I best slow down, can't keep up.
My last hatch was of some EE's that are so darn cute! Go to the Utah thread and go to the next to last post site..you will see the EE's that a gal bought from me..I can't believe the fluff! I've hatched a lot of EE's and Ameraucanas, but non with the muffs these have! Darling!

Scroll down to post 3916, those are the babies I hatched, and I know what you mean about those hens. I told my hubby the same thing, they look like cobras!! lol.. try this..

I've looked at Icelandic to hatch, are they pretty good layers besides being so pretty?? I really like them!
