First broody today.... set four eggs under her :)

Well I know the lighter of the two chicks is a female. The other one I'm not real sure about. I'm leaning more towards female. It will work nicely if these are both females because I hatched a male out of my incubator a week ago.

I just had my first hen go broody yesterday....so I slipped an EE egg under her, she is an australorp....I am hoping to slip a few more under her over the next day or so....we will see what happens. She nests on the ground, my only hen that does that, under the roost....so I doubt anyone goes near her, the rest favor box #1 for their laying needs.

Do you think I should put eggs under her as fast as I can, like by the end of tomorrow? Or is it ok to drag it out a few days....? I know all them hatching at once is better...any suggestions?

Ok I did not have pics of the newest chicks on the camera but I'll get them. Here's what I do have. This is one of the turkeys moms last year with her day old poult.above
Above is a brahma chick I hatched last Monday in my incubator.
This is the baby boys dad. I call him Biggie Smalls.
An earlier full body shot.
This is the suspected mom of the chick above. She is called Big Ronda and yes I see her beak is broke. It is getting better.

Here they are two buff brahma chicks hatched Sunday

Well if you read a few of the first posts I did have a few problems so mine ended up being a dragged out a over like 2 days, i would say to get them under her asap so they all hatch around the same time. but if you can't I would say no longer than 1 or 2 days. :) Keep me updated on it!!
