First broody today.... set four eggs under her :)

As of this morning the other two eggs weren't hatched

. At least the majority did hatch.

I cracked open the two that didn't hatch and they were duds. That makes me feel a lot better

I moved my silkie who is broody to the chick pen. She is due Friday and once her chicks hatch she can just sort of raise every one else. There are about thirteen chicks in there so I have no clue what is going to happen. I want her to teach all of the chicks the ropes and just keep her few warm at night.

Thats a really good idea I know some hens have been known to raise like 14 so yeah...
