My very first chick is pipping just now in my diy incubator! It is going to be a long night indeed, I just cant keep from staring down through the window at this chirping, wiggling egg. How amazing. The pip is on the bottom side of the egg, and there are only three other's with it at this time. I discarded many before I got the thermostat right. ( I bought a Reptitemp500 ftw) , but my hatcher has a water heater thermostat. It's the humidity I am not getting enough of, my sponges evaporate too fast and it has been around 40-50, but dips to 30.... I need to control that part before I set more.
Mine is just breaking out the bottom at this time, I am so nervous! It has strong lungs, I heard the cheeps over the radio at first and though "that is a weird part of the song..." )
