My first hen brooded chick hatched yesterday! It is half silkie, half Lavender Orpington. Since I had two Silkie hens sitting on the same nest I don’t know if this chick is from my blue or my splash Silkie.

Could be either. Looks like it got one blue gene, but that could come from a blue or a splash.

I hatched 4 LO/blue cochin/Blue isbar chicks and one Leghorn/blue Isbar, I love the blue chicks! the big light colored one is going to be a splash.
