Hi All--
We have a flock of one year old chickens and today we had our first death. It appears to be "natural" as opposed to an animal attack. Willow was a speckled sussex and had spent a lot of this weekend hiding in our parsley in the garden away from the rest of the flock. I'm guessing she wasn't feeling well, but we thought she was being broody. She didn't get on the roost last night and this morning we found her dead by the door of the coop.
Is there something we should be looking for in the other chickens to make sure there are no other health problems in the flock? Do you have any advice for us to help keep the rest of the flock safe/healthy?
Thanks so much!
Anita
