(pic is first comment ) These are my first chickens, I'm thinking pokemon names because I have three kids and tbh we all love pokemon lol but I'm open to other cool name theme suggestions . I am thinking Opal and Pearl for the two pekins, of course they're all from tsc so I could have two males on my hands but oh well! The chicks are all supposed to be pullers anyway so I'm thinking evee, pidgey, and for the black one either onyx or jinx. Anyway I'm super excited to have these babies !

Aww, those are cute names! And they are so adorable! :love

It's best to separate ducklings and chicks. Ducklings grow much faster and love to splash and get water on everything. Chicks can get chilled from being wet.
They've been separated currently working on taming the ducklings by keeping them next to me while I'm on the computer , they're ferociously trying to bite my hand to death right now

Ok so I'm completely in love with these chicks. They're so much simpler to care for than ducks and their constant little chattering is like a noise machine in my bathroom putting me to sleep lmao

Today I raised their stick slightly above ground level so they can practice roosting and they LOVE it. Eevee is also showing her dominance by pushing pidgey around and she is still my friendliest bird and likes to fall asleep while I'm holding her

So, I got all three of my chicks from a pullet bin at tsc and just assumed they'd all be PULLETS, now after reading whatever I could find on the "asian black" breed I realize it's entirely possible Jinx may be a boy... so this is going to become more of a "is she or isnt she" centered thread lol
