First chickens I’ve owned, hen or roosters?

Different ages the blue laced Wyandotte is 5-7 weeks the golden laced is 8-9

I think they’re beautiful i just can’t have fertilized eggs, not a big enough coop it’s only 18 ft
Why? If they are refrigerated the same day they are laid, there is zero taste difference. It takes time at 99.5*F to activate the egg. My Hens are rooster exposed but eggs are collected once a day and placed in the ice box. Delicious.

I agree, the GLW is a pullet, the blue is likely a cockerel (though the pics are a little blurry). Fertile eggs are safe to eat and you cannot tell the difference. It's safe practice to collect eggs daily either way so you don't accidentally miss one or leave it sitting somewhere too long and risk bringing a stinky egg into your kitchen ;)
